Overview and Purpose
The Preschool and Children Ministry exist to support each family in their journey of encouraging and strengthening each child’s understanding of Jesus Christ and His love for them. Bethlehem Baptist Church children’s ministry is a exciting, growing, and God centered program designed to help our little ones walk in faith.
The purpose of our Children’s Ministry is to lay a biblical foundation at an early age and continue it throughout the child’s life to adulthood. As the foundation is laid the ultimate goal is for each child to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord of their life.
Our mission is to partner with children’s family to provide spiritual teaching for salvation in Jesus Christ for discipleship and evangelism. We carry out this mission by providing opportunities for children and their family to learn about God by using the Bible and activities at the child’s age level. We also desire to provide additional opportunities for families to serve God together as we walk along the journey of faith.
Throughout every ministry activity, we provide a safe, secure, friendly, and fun learning environment for ALL children and their family. All of our children volunteers and teachers have been trained in our child protection and safety policies in addition to having been background checked.

Puggles
Puggles® recognizes the learning ability of 2- and 3-year old’s by introducing biblical truth at church and equipping parents to teach them at home.
Introduce young children to God and His love! In Awana Puggles, children learn four BigTruths—God Made Everything, God is Great, God Loves Us and We Give Thanks—and the Bible verses that go with them.
Cubbies
CUBBIES® CELEBRATES THE SPIRITUAL POTENTIAL OF PRESCHOOLERS (3 TO 5 YEAR OLDS) BY HELPING THEM DEVELOP RESPECT FOR GOD, HIS SON, AND HIS WORD.
Preschoolers can hardly wait for their next Cubbies club meeting. Whether it’s the fun puppets, the exciting games or all their Cubbies friends, they simply love it. At story time each week, preschoolers learn about God – the greatness of His love and His Word – and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Non-competitive games build excitement and reinforce story time lesson themes.
Cubbies lays the foundations for God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. The Cubbies handbook is a tool to help you teach God’s truth to your child in a simple, interactive, and fun way.
SPARKS
SPARKS® IGNITES THE CURIOSITY OF EARLY ELEMENTARY-AGE KIDS TO LEARN ABOUT THE PEOPLE AND EVENTS OF THE BIBLE, BUILDING A FOUNDATION OF WISDOM FOR KNOWING CHRIST.
Sparks is the highlight of the week for kids kindergarten through second grade! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends. Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider®, WingRunner®, and SkyStormer™. Each year, Sparks clubbers will explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture, memorize Bible verses, and complete handbook activities.
The handbooks, combined with large group lessons take your child on a journey through the entire Bible!
TNT
T&T ENGAGES THIRD THROUGH FIFTH GRADERS BY ANSWERING THEIR QUESTIONS ABOUT GOD AND THE BIBLE, GUIDING THEM THROUGH THIS PIVOTAL LIFE STAGE TO GROW IN CHRIST’S GRACE.
Handbooks and large-group lessons deepen a child’s knowledge of God and His Word and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.
T&T has a small group foundation to develop a relationship, a safe place to ask about faith and deepen their knowledge and understanding of scripture. Awana kids will know… they can Learn to Make the Wise Choice, Trust God No Matter What, and Treat Others the Way They Want to Be Treated.
Today, kids face unique pressures, demands, and distractions. These factors can result in a marked increase in discouragement, apathy, and disengagement. Awana has responded by updating T&T to reinforce commitment, identity, and community. These updates also focus the attention of leaders on the unique challenges and needs of this age group.
The ultimate message to kids of every age group is that nothing is more important than their relationship with Christ and following His way of living in the Scriptures.
Sunday
- Sunday School for infants through grade five at 9:15 am.
- Nursery for 0 to 18 months during Worship at 10:30 am.
- First Look for 18 months to age three during Worship at 10:30 am.
Wednesday
Awana Clubs 6:00 – 7:30 pm for infants through grade five meets each Wednesday from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Children enjoy age-appropriate crafts, music and lesson time, all biblically designed to teach the Gospel and grow their faith.
