Plan Your Visit- I’m New!

Welcome Home.

Welcome Home!

Don’t worry about “I’m New”. Welcome! Whether this is your first time at Bethlehem Baptist Church, or you have been here before, we want to make it clear that you are welcome and that there is a place for you in God’s family at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

At Bethlehem Baptist Church, you will experience friendly people, diverse worship music, and relevant messages in a casual environment.

We invite you to dress however you feel comfortable. Whether you prefer jeans or more traditional attire, you’ll find it all here at Bethlehem Baptist Church. After all, the Bible tells us that God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with how we dress or look (1 Samuel 16:7).

Greeters will welcome you just inside the front left entrance.

Can I attend if I am____?

Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, a single parent, broke, an addict, a skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at BBC. So come as you are, and we’ll see you on Sunday!

Please join us this week!

Welcome Home, Families!

At BBC we love families and families mean lots of kids! From infants to high school students, we have done our best to help your children have a blast while learning about Jesus.

There are a variety of classes for kids from Birth through High School. Just ask one of our many greeters or stop by the Welcome Center to find the Small Group for you and your family.

During service, we invite all our families to worship together, but if you are in need of childcare we provide a nursery during worship as well as 1st Look for toddlers during the service.

We are located at 7500 NC HWY 127, Taylorsville NC 28681. Turn at the stop light near the Exxon Station and you have arrived. Parking is located on the side and in the back.

Once you turn into the parking lot from the stop light, you will find parking spots on the left side with signs – Visitor Parking. Once you have parked, simply enter the church where you will be greeted by one of our very own BBC members. Parking is also located in the back of the church where you can also enter our worship facility. There will also be greeters to direct you and answer any questions you have.

Each morning at 9:00 am our church gathers in the Welcome Center. You will find our church enjoying coffee, pastries and fellowship before Small Groups which begin at 9:30 am. In our Welcome Center you will also find our Pastors and other members who will welcome you, answer questions, and direct you to a small group or our worship center. We can’t wait to meet you!

No!  Dressing up is not a requirement to worship with us at Bethlehem Baptist. Some do wear their “Sunday best” but you’re also likely to see someone in slacks and a casual shirt, or even jeans. We believe the most important part about Sunday morning is showing up, ready to worship God.

We have quite a mixture of people at Bethlehem. Our congregation truly spans the ages, from newborns to folks in their 80s. You’ll find just about every type of person here – married, single, divorced, widowed – professionals, workers, retired – life-long Alexander/Catawba County residents and those who have just recently moved to the Bethlehem area. But even more important than the kind of people who go here is the kind of people who are welcome here – everyone!

We believe that worshiping together as a family is important. For our smallest members we offer a nursery and First Look for our toddlers each Sunday morning. We invite our school age children to be a part of the worship service each week with their family. Each Sunday a Children’s Sermon is provided by our Children’s Director- Ms. Kelsey. A packet that reinforces those ideas is shared with each child to take back to their seats during the worship service as well.

The music used is God-focused and grace-centered. We sing hymns and the latest songs on Christian Radio. The music represents the variety of individuals we have in our church family from young to older. We have a variety of groups from a praise team to a church choir. Our focus is on praising God and in some cases you may feel most comfortable listening and meditating on the words rather than singing- that’s ok! Each Sunday we take a moment to greet each other. We want to welcome our members and our visitors BUT we will NEVER make you stand up, wear a name tag or identify yourself if that is not your wish.

On most Sundays, you’ll hear a brief report from a missionary or local ministry before we take up our tithes and offering- you are never expected to give.

Most importantly, Sermons are taught with an emphasis on life application and a strong commitment to honest Biblical interpretation. Visuals are used to help you with identifying the key points of the message and an application given so you can ponder your next steps.

Your worship experience is your experience and we hope that you will find this to be a relaxed and enjoyable time to learn more about God and his work in your life!

Each Sunday we take a moment to greet each other. We want to welcome our members and our visitors BUT we will NEVER make you stand up, wear a name tag or identify yourself if that is not your wish. We will ask you to fill out a CONNECT Card which is located on the side of our bulletin. This is simply a way for our ministerial staff to reach out to you and get to know you more if that is your wish.

For one reason or another, sometimes people feel like they don’t fit in at church. Although humans can tend to judge each other by certain standards, it’s important to see that God does not. In God’s eyes, there are only two kinds of people — people who need His grace and forgiveness, and people who have already received His grace and forgiveness. In either case, we are needy people and we have no room to judge each other. We all have our own weaknesses. At Bethlehem Baptist, we’re simply trying to work on our own relationship with God, and we try to help others do the same. Once you get to know people better, you may find that you are not as different as you think. Our church is simply a slice of life. We’re not perfect people, we’re just people!

That’s totally fine with us. You are more than welcome to simply enjoy the service and not feel burdened to join in on a bunch of other activities. We certainly don’t want to pressure you into being more involved than you’d like. We understand that there are many good reasons to limit your involvement. You may have schedule conflicts, you may be “gun shy” from a previous church experience, or you may just need a little space for a while. We want you to feel welcome, not pressured.

If you haven’t made a decision to accept Christ, but would like to know more about it, you’re a seeker. That’s a good thing. That means you’re asking questions about spiritual things and how they might relate to your life. Our Pastoral staff is always willing and happy to answer questions and provide support as you explore this path. We are glad to have you with us no matter where you are in your faith journey!

Great! We would love to help you and your family learn more about BBC. We encourage you to speak to one of our ministers or Deacons who will have a name tag on each Sunday. We are happy to answer your questions and excited that you have chosen to join us at BBC!!
